Niederhorn
For families with small children, winter walking is a great alternative to the faster winter sports! Walking along the white trails over fresh crunchy snow, you will rediscover walking. There are kilometres of prepared and maintained trails through the magical winter scenery and the magnificent panorama of lakes and majestic white peaks is a delight.

Niederhorn - Vorsass
Walking time approx. 1 hour / 3 km / 400 m descent
Running parallel to a blue ski run, this walking trail combined with a toboggan run links the top station of the Niederhorn cable car to the middle station Vorsass. It is an extremely popular trail and leads you through beautiful scenery with great views. The toboggan run is marked.

Located on a gentle south facing slope away from through traffic, Aeschlen has magnificent views of the lake and the Bernese Alps and offers great possibilities for walking in winter as well as in summer.
Eriz-Innereriz
Here you will find 20km of winter walking trails in a fabulous, virtually pristine scenery. The very popular Zulg walking trail will also be kept open in winter. The walk takes you from Innereriz Säge along the Zulg by the cross.-country ski trail to Eriz Linden. Please follow the pink coloured signs for the winter walking trail.

Goldiwil, a charming holiday resort, situated 6km above Thun in a sunny spot with great possibilities for winter walking.
Heiligenschwendi is known for its pleasant climate and lovely position in the foothills of the Alps at 1100m. Many of the very varied walks here lead through beautiful fir forests.

Heiligenschwendi - Schwanden - Heiligenschwendi
This new winter walk Heiligenschwendi - Schwanden - Heiligenschwendi is 10km long and is ideal for a long walk on a sunny winter day. The path leads you from Heiligenschwendi via Tschingelallmi and Schluchtegg back to the starting point in about two and a half hours. Along the way there are various view points which give you a wonderful view of Lake Thun and the fascinating snow capped mountain world.

Winter walking path Schwanden
When snow conditions permit a 4km winter walk is prepared from Allmendschwand and the car park by the large ski lift. The route is marked by pink coloured signs. There is also the possibility of walking shorter loops. On the way the Cafe Pistenflitzer or the Skihöckli will be happy to provide refreshment. From the 4th January, Nordic walking will be organised each Wednesday afternoon, no booking is necessary.

On this 3.5km prepared circular winter walk, enjoy the sunshine and feel reenergised. The starting point is at the car parks by the ski lifts. Please follow the pink coloured signs for the winter walking path.
