Swiss Film and Video Festival Lake Thun

The Swiss Film and Video Festival Lake Thun is an independant festival. The variety of productions is huge. Works from freelance film and video producers, schools and also professional filmmakers are shown and a specialist jury judges the entries. Prizes are awarded in three categories. The main focus of attention are discoveries which are personal realisations of an idea, produced with a limited budget and much personal involvement, experimental and daring films. The festival is an ideal platform for young film producers who will influence cinema in the future.

Honky Tonk Festival Thun

The idea of a Honky Tonk is connecting various venues in a city (clubs, bars, cafe’s, restaurants, pubs etc) for a musical city event. This is ideal for Thun, which has a great number and variety of special venues. Artists from all over the world performing all different styles of music appear on the same evening. You can hear everything from blues, jazz, rock’n’roll, to salsa, reggae and tango, coffeehouse music, folk, country, German pop and all types of the most popular live music.
Honky Tonk – so how does it work? The visitor pays one entrance fee and then has unlimited entry to all venues to see all the bands.
