The Thunersee is known for its fair wind and therefore offers excellent conditions for sailing throughout the whole year. During the summer months, at the latest from lunchtime onwards, the sun-warmed Alps guarantee constant thermal winds of middle strength: the perfect conditions for first time sailing experiences on the water. From Thun you take the bus along the "Golden Coast” to Hilterfingen. Before anything else, and thus "doing as the skippers do”, you’ll enjoy a touch of luxury with an excellent lunch and a fantastic view of the lake. Then you’ll be taken to the sailing yachts by motor boat. Accompanied by an experienced skipper you’ll be able to enjoy a two hour trip on the lake, against the spectacular backdrop of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Should you feel like it, you’re welcome to lend a hand – elbow grease is always needed on board!
