Faulensee Canoeing Trail
The first canoeing trail on Lake Thun was opened during the ‘Year of Water’. This highly attractive offer incorporates three hire stations in Spiez, Faulensee and Güetital and is open from 13.30 to 17.30 in good weather.
Hire a canoe or SUP (stand up paddle board) and explore the banks from the lake.
Paddle across the clear waters of Lake Thun in a canoe and discover flora and fauna plus lots of beautiful spots with public BBQs. You can set your own pace – whether leisurely or fast-moving.
Or why not try out the new sport, SUP? Standing on a surfboard, you can paddle along the left banks of Lake Thun. This is a challenge for visitors of all ages. 99% water contact and 100% pure fun are guaranteed!
Anyone can hire a canoe or SUP. Water sports equipment can be hired as part of the one-way or circular system. Spend the afternoon in a canoe with your family, stopping off at one of the beautiful rest areas along the way. Cool down in the lake and grill yourself a sausage or two at a BBQ point.
