Meeting of highly skilled singers from all over the world startig on 29th September 2012
The international Opera Workshop is celebrating its 20 years jubilee! From 29th September to 15th October 2012 young talented singers from all over the world will work together in Sigriswil. The highlights will be the four final opera shows in different places around Lake Thun.
About twenty high talented singers from fourteen different countries will meet on 29 September in Sigriswil. Together they will work on ensembles and arias from operas from Gluck, Händel, Mozart, Verdi, Puccini and Wagner. The International Opera Workshop will take place for the 20st time and was launched by the opera singer Verena Keller.
Four opera shows
In the year of the jubilee there will be four instead of three opera shows in Sigriswil, Bern, Thun and Interlaken. The workshops starting on 3rd October are open to visitors. Interested musicians and fans of the opera may experience how a composition is arranged. Also they will get an idea what it is like starting a training to become an opera singer.
