The first via ferrata in Switzerland leads right through the Gadmerfluh. With a length of around 600 m, it is one of the longest and most spectacular via ferratas in Switzerland. The starting point for the via ferrata is the Restaurant and mountain hut Tälli, which is easily accessible with the Tällibahn. The via ferrata can be walked from July to October in safe weather. 78 m of ladders, 550 cemented-in pegs, and plenty of fixed ropes guarantee a safe passage of the route. The descent takes place over the back of the Gadmerfluh and leads via the Sätteli back to the Tälli mountain hut or down to the Engstlenalp.

The ferrata starts with a steep ladder that leads to an airy horizontal ledge. You follow it to the right until the protections point upwards again. Over rock steps, grassy ledges, and narrow bands, the route quickly gains altitude; after about one-third of the ascent, a wooden bench invites you to rest. This is followed by a quite exposed traverse before the route approaches the distinctive terrace ledge in the upper wall section. A steep corner is easily negotiated with the help of three staggered ladders. Another iron ladder leads onto a slanting grassy ledge. Finally, in scree to the exit at the ridge.
