Liebhaberbühne LBB präsentiert: «Wir sind die Neuen»

The Liebhaberbühne Biel presents: “We Are the New Ones”
A generational comedy full of lightheartedness, humor, and worldly wisdom

Stage adaptation by Jürgen Popig based on the film of the same name by Ralf Westhoff
Swiss German translation: Hanna Scheuring

Directed by: Rebecca Jutzi

The three singles Anna, Eddi, and Johannes, all of whom have reached early retirement age, decide—partly for financial reasons—to revive their old college apartment share and move in together again. Just like in the old days, they sit around the kitchen table late into the night, drinking wine, philosophizing, and enjoying loud music. However, this disturbs the students Katharina, Jean-Michel, and Barbara on the floor above, who are about to graduate and can’t stand their neighbors’ laid-back lifestyle at all.
“We Are the Newcomers” is a delightful comedy that shows—in a way that’s as turbulent as it is subtle—that the generations can benefit far more from one another than they realize.
