The picnic blanket concert in the park of Villa Séquin combines music with a special open-air atmosphere. In a relaxed setting, audience and artists meet in the greenery and experience a concert that brings nature and culture together in a special way. For the 2026 edition, the focus is on collaboration: Rasmus Nissen is designing the program together with his trio and former students of the grammar school, who are now studying at various universities. The result is a varied evening with a set by the trio and another with guests, enabling musical encounters across generations.

Rasmus Nissen contributes his broad experience as a jazz guitarist, bandleader and long-time music teacher at Thun High School, characterized by international concert activity and stylistic openness. He is joined by Martin Kissling, jazz drummer, music teacher and recording studio operator with decades of stage and production experience, and Sarah Zaugg, versatile bassist between rock and jazz, dedicated teacher and band coach. Together, the trio forms a professional and at the same time mediating framework in which musical development, exchange and making music together take center stage.
