The Alpwäg Trail starts at Hotel Wetterhorn and corresponds in the first part to the Wetterhorn Trail. At the 7th Schürli (point 1342) the trail turns left and leads through the snow-covered Bärgelbachtobel and via Eggweid over to the Alpwäg. On the left of the piste begins the descent towards Mühlebach. After crossing the mountain road, you reach the Mühlebach Trail. Follow this with a slight descent to Grindelwald.
