With a cozy restaurant and a short, easy circular route, Elsigenalp near Adelboden is a good choice for families. 

The route starts at the mountain station Elsigenalp. Follow the signs to Brandsee. This section up to Brandsee is wheelchair accessible. You can walk around the lake and then continue towards Elsigsee. There are several barbecue spots here. From Elsigsee, the path continues to Restaurant Elsighütte. From there, go down the asphalt road to Restaurant Elsigenalp.

Directions & Parking facilities

The A6 / A8 motorway via the Spiez exit towards "Kandersteg / car shuttle train." Drive to Frutigen and continue towards Adelboden until Achseten. Follow the sign "Elsigbach" in Achseten and turn left to Elsigbach.
Free car parking at the valley station of the cable car.
In summer, bus line 231 from Frutigen station to Elsigbach. Take the cable car up to Elsigenalp.
