From Schwarzwaldalp, take the hiking trail along the Rychenbach. The path runs alongside the river in some places, and along the road on a path. After about two kilometers you reach the Rosenlaui Glacier Gorge. It is worth making a detour here. In the gorge, you are greeted by an impressive waterfall, whose strength naturally depends on the weather and the season. You climb 115 meters through the gorge over 12 tunnels and more than 200 steps. The historic Hotel Rosenlaui is only a 5-minute walk from the gorge. On hot summer days, it offers a pleasant outdoor terrace shaded with parasols. Then the path runs almost alongside the Rychenbach. The wide valley of the pale blue glacier river is absolutely breathtaking. The varied route follows natural paths, with shady forest sections alternating with open meadows. At the end, you will be greeted by the impressive Reichenbach Falls and the ride down with the historic Reichenbach Falls train.
