From Lake Thun to the Rhone Valley – Stage 1
We leave the busy traffic hub at Lake Thun through residential streets and soon reach the Hondrichwald forest. Through the village of the same name, we ascend to Aeschi, where we reach the highest point of this hike. We then descend to Mülenen and cross the Kander river there. Now we hike upstream along the Kander until we reach the stage destination of Frutigen.
