Children discover the joy of hiking when there are enough breaks with snacks along the way, an attractive experience awaits, and they are not overwhelmed. The described hike offers plenty of experience and is not very strenuous. From Uetendorf station, you walk across the forecourt of the shopping center towards Willerüti-Geistsee. The hiking trail runs on the sidewalk until the edge of the village, makes a left loop there and later crosses the road again at Wildenrüti. The distinctive Stockhorn becomes increasingly dominant in our field of vision. Past the well-maintained and flower-decorated farms of Gibliz, Hurschgasse, and Kehr, you reach the Längenbühlwald forest. At the forest entrance, turn off to "Bim Wald." From the "Bim Wald" location, continue towards Uebeschi, and shortly the idyllic small Dittligsee will be visible. In a few minutes, the restaurant and Grizzly Bear leisure park are reached. The versatile leisure park is a paradise for children. The park is home to llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, woolly pigs, rabbits, ducks, and horses, and minigolf can also be played. And all this is right by the small, beautiful reed-surrounded Dittligsee. Swimming in the lake is allowed at your own risk; there is no lifeguard on duty. Entry and exit are only permitted at the designated bathing area. After an extended stay, take the easy return route toward Seftigen. Up to the junction to Obergurzelen, you go back the same way. At the edge of Längenbühlwald, turn off towards Obergurzelen – Seftigen. This section goes through beautiful agricultural land to Obergurzelen, then descends to Seftigen station.
