From the station, cross the railway crossing and enjoy the walk along the lakeside promenade. At the end of the promenade, cross the main road to reach the old village part. You can hardly miss Brunngasse – inspiring, the old wooden houses of Brienz. For the return, follow the main road. Here you'll find some restaurants and shops for a short break.

Directions
The start and end of the walk are at Brienz train station. At the start, cross the railway crossing and then turn right to the lakeside promenade (gravel path) following the lake to Brunngasse. A detour to the Reformed Church, Woodcarving School, and Violin Making School is possible. Return via Oberdorfstrasse.

- Getting there
Exit motorway (A8) Brienz, from Interlaken or Brünigpass / Meiringen. Follow the main road towards Interlaken.
From Interlaken, it is also possible to follow the main road along Lake Brienz.
ParkingParking available at Brienz train station, at the boat landing, or the Brienz-Rothorn-Bahn car park.
Public transportationBy train to Brienz train station; in summer months, also accessible by boat to Brienz.

The path is suitable for people with limited mobility and prams. The path is also wheelchair accessible (note: gravel stones along the lakeside promenade / access to the church via Oberdorfstrasse possible).
