On this superb tour, you traverse an idyllic and undulating landscape of forests and alpine pastures as you climb towards the steep limestone faces of the Sigriswiler Rothorn range. Have reached the daunting summit, you can savour the magical Bernese Oberland vista of four-thousand-metre mountains. Deep blue Lake Thun and the mighty Niesen make the perfect image for your photo to remember. The tour conforms to difficulty level T3 on the SAC scale of demanding mountain hikes.
 

Bällehöchst – a mountain hike with panoramic views

At 2095 m above sea level, the Bällehöchst offers one of the loveliest viewpoints in the Bernese Oberland. From the quaint mountain village of Saxeten, the mountain trail leads through alpine landscapes via the flanks of the Sulegg. Crossing the col, you proceed to the lookout point of the Bällehöchst where your gaze can sweep across the Niederhorn, the Hohgant and the Brienzergrat ridge. Far below, Lake Brienz and part of Lake Thun are visible; to the south, the Jungfrau is resplendent. Even the descent towards Isenfluh is an experience, packed with breathtaking natural backdrops and dramatic views. The tour corresponds to difficulty level T2 on the SAC scale of mountain hikes.

Morgenberghorn: summit tour in a class of its own

This spectacular climb rewards the hiker with a jaw-dropping panorama that quickly erases the memory of the effort needed to reach it: the all-round view takes in everything from the Bernese Alps to the Central Plateau and the Jura Mountains beyond as the lakes glisten down in the valley.
