The Ringgenberg Planet Trail is a unique model that represents the planets from the center in two directions.
It conveys an easy-to-understand idea of the size relationships in our solar system. At a scale of 1:1 billion, the size of the sun and the planets is shown along a distance of 12 km, as well as the distance of the planets from the sun.
One millimeter actually corresponds to one thousand kilometers, and the normal walking speed becomes approximately five times the speed of light.
Additionally, you will be accompanied on your way by a great view of nature, mountains, and lake.Â
This route is accessible all year round and can easily be walked with a stroller.

Directions
The respective starting point is at the Burgkirche Ringgenberg, which is easily accessible by train, bus, or ship.
The hike begins heading west and leads via Bürgli, Brandstrasse, and the well-known Katzenpfad to the English Garden near Interlaken train station.
From here, the path continues directly along the Aare to Interlaken West, then between the ship canal and the Aare through the Weissenau nature reserve.
Here is the outermost planet model, Pluto. After another 20 minutes, you reach the ship station and bus stop Neuhaus.
