This beautiful panoramic hike begins at the mountain restaurant slightly above the Schynige Platte railway station. Past the Tuba viewpoint, the scenic and well-developed ridge path runs with views of Lake Brienz and over the imposing triad of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau towards Loucherhorn. At the Grätli signpost, the path turns right and returns nearly in the opposite direction past the huts of Oberberg back to the starting point.

Directions & Parking facilities
Via Bern or Lucerne to Interlaken. Or from the south via Grimsel Pass (summer only) or via Simplon Pass and Lötschberg car shuttle to Interlaken. Wilderswil is located not far from the exit towards Grindelwald / Lauterbrunnen.
Uncovered parking lot behind Wilderswil train station.
By the Bernese Oberland Railway or by car to Wilderswil. By the historic Schynige Platte Railway via the Alp Breitlauenen to Schynige Platte. Travel time from Wilderswil: 53 minutes.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
At the mountain station of the cogwheel railway, a detour to the alpine garden is worthwhile. The nearly one-kilometer-long route through the alpine garden offers an excellent insight into the impressive biological diversity of the Alps.
