From Griesalp, follow the yellow marked hiking trail and cross directly over the Gamchibach. Continue along the roaring water; on the left the hiking trail leads downstream past the beautifully located Hotel Waldrand-Pochtenalp. The descent continues in numerous hairpin bends. One should not miss the detour over the bridge to the highlight of the tour at the Griesschlucht: the impressive Pochtenfall waterfall. The water of the Gamchibach also shaped the natural artwork «Hexenkessel» – a gigantic whirlpool that you also pass on the detour. Back on the hiking trail, after just a few minutes you reach the end of the Griesschlucht and one end of the Tschingelsee. The body of water, which today has less to do with a lake but rather with pools and water courses, is counted among the floodplain areas of national importance. Mostly along the road, you pass the sedimentation area and cross the Gornerewasser at its northern end. The valley hiking trail now gently descends along the water into the Fulbrunni area. Along the way, a detour to the Restaurant Alpenruh is worthwhile. At Loosplatte, you change the side of the stream and continue to follow the water to the valley station of the Ramslauenen chairlift. After a short ascent, you reach Kiental.
