  • Start: Axalp/Sportbahnen
  • Destination: Axalp/Totzweg

The starting point for all snowshoe trails is the Axalp/Sportbahnen bus stop.

Behind the Axalp Stübli restaurant, the snowshoe trail runs along the Schnitzlerweg, which is well known in summer and now deeply snow-covered. Some caution is advised in the area of the Gausbands (rock band). Otherwise, the route leads through untouched forests and over sparkling snow fields to the mystical Hinterburgseeli lying ahead.

From Hinterburgseeli along the summer road down into the deeply snow-covered Gou area. Here the trails Totzweg and Teiffental branch off. The easier trail continues along the summer road to the Teiffental bus stop. The trail to Totzweg is a bit more demanding, as from Gou there is an ascent of about 140 meters to overcome. The post bus takes you back from Totzweg to the starting point Axalp/Sportbahnen. Combine your excursion there with a cozy cabin experience including a fondue feast!
