Magnificent views of the lake and the Bernese Alps accompany the entire route. The official starting point is in the town of Thun.

The walk starts directly at the train station and leads up the Aare Canal to the over 1000-year-old church of Scherzligen and further into the picturesque Schadau Park. At Lake Thun you can also visit the shipyard and the Thun lido. The lakeside path leads via Schadau Park with Schadau Castle and the Thun Panorama over the beach path to Bonstetten Park.
