The Suldtal is a popular destination in summer – many families come with a picnic and settle on the grassy areas beside the Suldbach. The Suldtal can also be enjoyed with the simple mountain hike over the Rengli Pass described here.

From Aeschiried, follow the road to Suld for about 20 minutes until a small road junction (P.1036) where you go down to the right at Staldeweid towards the Suld. Up to the first bridge, walk along the left side of the stream, then stay on the right side of the Suld up to the Pochtefall restaurant. Around the restaurant with its beautiful garden, some trees covered thickly with moss stand. Follow the signs on the left side of the Pochtenfall towards Louene. Above the Pochtefall, stay to the left of the Suld and go past the Alp Louene. Partly on a hiking trail, partly on the alp road, reach Schlieri. At the road junction P.1522, keep left towards Alp Mittelberg. Now climb steeply up to the highest point of the hike, the 1879 m high Renggli Pass. Just below the pass, pass by the Renggli Pass hut. On the other side of the pass, descend to Alp Mittelberg, from where it goes alternately on hiking trails and alp roads down to Saxeten.
