- Start: Goldiwil, Dorf bus stop
- Destination: Thun, train station
Until its merger with Thun, Goldiwil was an independent municipality. On the signpost at the start location of the route at the Goldiwil Dorf bus stop, both the intermediate destination Rabeflue and the final destination Thun train station are indicated. Initially, follow the main road downwards towards Thun for about 100 meters. Now bear slightly right into Schwendibachstrasse. At the forest entrance, turn left onto a path and descend through the forest past the Geissental farmstead. Then go right, passing a second farmstead, briefly along meadows and then through forest to the blockhouse with a rest area. Here turn sharply right, then half-left and finally straight ahead, reaching Rabeflue within a few minutes. This description shows that Rabeflue is accessed by a dense network of hiking trails. Benches invite you to rest and enjoy the view. Still in the forest, the hike leads back briefly on the outbound path where you turn right towards Wartbode. The path now zigzags downward. At the next fork, continue towards Wartbode. On a forest path without many curves, you reach Wartbode with the eponymous bus stop. After crossing the main road, the route continues downhill on a path to the Jakobshübeli pavilion. Once again, an opportunity to enjoy the view of Lake Thun, the Stockhorn chain and of castle and town Thun. The castle was founded by the Zähringens and passed to the Kyburgs after their extinction. A last downward section leads to Brahmsquai on the Aare. On level ground, you reach the destination of the hike at Thun train station.
